The temple conducts daily rituals known as "Thevava," performed three times a day—at dawn, noon, and in the evening. These rituals involve music, drumming, and offerings to the sacred relic, providing visitors with a profound spiritual experience.

Esala Perahera Festival


One of the most spectacular events associated with the temple is the annual Esala Perahera festival. This grand procession, held in July or August, features beautifully decorated elephants, traditional dancers, drummers, and torchbearers, drawing thousands of devotees and tourists.
